Hello Saturday. April 20 2024 Jedis + Trekkies + Hobbits, oh my. That’s right, after last year’s cancellation, Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) is back, taking over the Washington State Convention Center all weekend long with special guests, panels, video game previews, and cosplayers galore. 🦄 And, Boy Wonder, do Seattleites geek out for it. ECCC is the largest non-sports events in Seattle, drawing 100,000+ fans each year. Even though this year’s edition has scaled things back attendance-wise + instituted many COVID-19 protocols (including proof of vaccination), the energy promises to be monstrously high. Since even the most seasoned adventurers can get overwhelmed with all the stuff going on, we’ve broken down highlights for the next few days.
Note: multi-day passes are sold out, but one-day tickets, kid passes for the full weekend + virtual tickets are still available.

Of course, ECCC isn’t the only place in Seattle for pure fandemonium. Discover other spots around the area to let your nerd flag fly.
Spread the word throughout the kingdoms and galaxies far, far away.

Could this be the saddest Gum Wall selfie ever? Walla Walla alt-rock band Chastity Belt recently shot a video for their single “Fake” at the famed sticky landmark. Seattle-based director Eleanor Petry talked to KEXP about the making of the clip, which shows the band members clowning around town. Editor's Pick: As an unabashed nerd myself, I couldn’t be more excited for the return of Emerald City Comic Con. There are so many panels I have my eye on, but basically just seeing all the cool cosplay is my favorite part of the event each year. Might be time to bust out that Chewbacca onesie I have buried in the closet.
