Sightseeing 👀

The Space Needle and Pike Place Market are the main landmarks everyone wants to check out. But there are other great spots for the perfect family photo, particularly the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum and the Fremont Troll.

If you’ve got any history buffs in the group, head on down to Pioneer Square and try the Underground Tour — 19th-century artifacts are visible in tunnels beneath the sidewalks.

Food + Bev 🍽️

If your guests need coffee to get going in the morning, boy, have you come to the right city. Fulcrum, Hood Famous, and Victrola Roasters are all magnificent specialty shops that also serve seasonal drinks.

As for food — some of our personal favorites include Musang, Kamonegi, and brunch at Communion Restaurant + Bar. Brunch in Seattle is an absolute must. 🍳

See the Pacific Northwest Ballet's performance of The Nutcracker at McCaw Hall from Fri., Nov. 26-Tues., Dec. 28, or the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Climate Pledge Arena on Sat., Nov. 27.

The Pacific Science Center also has an interactive hockey exhibit through Sun., Feb. 27 perfect for kids, and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) features a Disney costume display.

Indoor activities 🌧️

If the weather is rough, it might be best to spend a day exploring the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). You can also catch “A Christmas Carol” at the ACT Theater, from Tues., Dec. 7-Mon., Dec. 27.

And if you’re looking for season-specific activities, be sure to head down to Pike Place for its Holiday Magic extravaganza, starting Nov. 27, or one of the many pop-up markets and craft fairs. They’ll bring tidings of comfort and joy for all.

Seasmith Cafe is among the mix of new businesses planned at transit hub Capitol Hill Station, which currently includes Nékter Juice Bar. State

The Washington State Redistricting Commission did not end up redrawing new congressional and legislative maps before Monday’s midnight deadline. That task will now go to the Washington State Supreme Court, which has until April 30 to decide on the boundaries.

Prepare the cabin for landing. The refurbished fuselage of a Boeing 747 will be the marquee element of South Lake Union’s apartment tower at 1200 Stewart St. Vancouver-based developer Westbank said that the airplane will be moved over in 39 pieces, eventually becoming office space, although public exhibitions are also planned.

The complex — which will also include a Trader Joe’s and live music venue — is scheduled for takeoff next fall, with a possible “spring preview” for aviation fans. ✈️
